Blazing orange and apple green

Well, good morning! What a week it's been so far, and only halfway in. So many things happening with everybody I know. So many things happening with us! I feel the energy of springtime whooshing in already, swirling through our neighborhoods like wind. And there is that too, lots of it. I was knocked out cold with a migraine all day yesterday, and so was my friend down the street. We chalked it up to "barometric pressure". Manley is sick: his poor head is all stuffed up and his eyes look watery and pitiful. Bless his heart. I think our bodies tend to react this way sometimes during big transition seasons, at least that's what I've heard. But sunnier skies are so very close.
And speaking of sunny, I've been painting a lot of colorful house portraits this past month, and I always love the ones with dazzling front doors! Blazing orange and apple green. And, of course, the red ones. These two above are some of my favorites of late.
My house portrait waiting list keeps growing and growing, which makes me feel humbled and overwhelmed and grateful all at the same time. It's difficult for me to predict how long it will take me to get to the end, or any given point, but I think that if I work at a steady rate I could get through them by October. That being said, I'm going to probably have to close down the list for this year in a week or so and hopefully reopen it again after the 2013 holiday season. If you are interested in getting on the list for this year, please contact me with your email address and I will add you! I can't thank you enough for your patronage of these little things. Y'all are just the greatest.
