Christmas Eve Eve Eve

Oh, what a happy and much needed day yesterday was. Wreath-making, gift shopping, present wrapping, bad (good) Christmas TV movie watching. I made the wreaths by tying boxwood from our front yard onto brass wreath forms with floral wire. Actually, I don't know if they were truly wreath forms...I bought them at Joanne's for $2 and wasn't sure exactly what they were. But they work! Simplest wreaths in the world. My parents and sister are spending Christmas at our house and I am so looking forward to it. Trying to figure out Christmas dinner...thinking something long, slow and braised. I want to cook all day but not really cook, just know something is cooking. While I lay on the sofa and drink eggnog.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the kindness, wishes, blessings and encouragement you have sent my way. Especially thank you for the sweet words of sympathy regarding our adoption. We are not losing hope, just having to start all over from the beginning, and most likely not in Ethiopia. I will share more soon when I can.

Wishing you all the light and rest and peace in the world, whatever holidays you are or aren't celebrating. Merry everything.
